Mumbai last saw a production by the legendary choreographer Chandralekha way back in 2001.
This fortnight, it is time for dance enthusiasts to rejoice as the Dashrath Patel Foundation for Creativity presents “Sharira: Fire/Desire”, the last production in Chandralekha’s oeuvre. Yoga expert Tishani Doshi and kalari artist Shaji John come together to celebrate “the living body, in which sexuality, sensuality and spirituality coexist”. Tickets, priced at Rs 100 and Rs 200, are available at the venue. The performance is to announce the inauguration of the Dashrath Patel Museum in Alibag.
