Karma: Crime, Passion, Reincarnation
|
Rating: *
There are some movies that one feels utterly embarrassed to have watched. Karma is that sort of a film. Packed with clichés from the horror genre – a woman in white, fog, nightmares, spooky voices – Karma throws into the mix coarse love scenes. American-bred Rick (Carlucci Weyant) returns home to Ooty, where his father, Ranvir (Vijayendra Ghatge), owns tea gardens. He brings along his wife Anna (Alma Saraci), who immediately senses a connection to the place. A woman who was murdered 30 years ago returns to haunt the couple. Shoddy camerawork, deplorable dialogue and lead characters who mindlessly tear off each other’s clothes make Karma a real horror to sit through. Suhani Singh |
