DanceSport India
Priti Gupta and Shannon Benjamin, one of the few pairs to represent India in international ballroom competitions, have started their own institute. Gupta and Benjamin share their expertise in ballroom styles like samba, mambo, merengue and paso doble and also flamenco. Gupta aims to promote social dancing and to groom dancers so that they can represent India at competitions across the globe. Dance with Joy
Students of Arts in Motion Dance Studio will perform at Dance with Joy, the studio’s fourth anniversary celebrations, on July 19. The show will see them perform belly dance, salsa, krumping, jazz and other dances. On July 20, the festivities continue as studio owner Aanchal Gupta turns the Bombay 72º East into a dancefloor to hold a “friendly competition”.
