The iconic singer-writer-composer, who released his chartbuster album Tabeer, once again creates a sensation with his pathbreaking compositions and pop-rock sound in his new album, Kyun Dooriyan.
Shafqat’s voice represents a unique blend of classical gayaki and contemporary panache. His voice has that rare ability to express heartbreak as beautifully as ecstasy. Shafqat has recently sung for movies such as Hello (on “Caravan”), Nagesh Kukunoor’s forthcoming Aashayein (on “Shukriya Zindagi”), the current hit track “Tum Mile” by music director Pritam from Mukesh Bhatt’s film Tum Mile and “Tere Naina” for Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. He has also sung a new track with music director duo Vishal- Shekhar for Dharma Productions’ I Hate Love Stories and a track for the film Patiala House, starring Akshay Kumar, andthe music for this was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy among others.
